Toastmasters International requires each district to train club officers twice per year.

The first training takes place between June 1 and August 31. The second training takes place between November 1 and February 28.

Club Officer Training (COT) is typically offered during the Summer Leadership Institute (SLI) and the Winter Leadership Institute (WLI). 

Clubs that train at least four officers during each training period will receive credit for the training goal in the Distinguished Club Program (DCP). Clubs that send seven officers to training will be recognized as Super 7 Clubs.
