District 66 is thrilled to announce the Open House Challenge—a strategic initiative designed to help your club finish the year strong, achieve your membership goals, and set your leadership team up for future success!
What is the Open House Challenge?
The premise is simple: we are challenging every club in District 66 to open its doors (whether virtually or in person) to the public, demonstrate the power of the Toastmasters pathway, and actively grow its member base.
By participating, your club isn’t just working toward a milestone; you are actively creating an environment where new voices can discover their potential as speakers and leaders.
🎯 The Goal & The Reward
To successfully complete the challenge, your club needs to meet a specific milestone:
- The Timeline: Host your club’s Open House event between May 1 and June 20.
- The Membership Goal: Add 3 new members to your club roster during this window.
💰 The Reward
We love celebrating success in District 66! Every club that successfully meets the membership growth goal and submits their documentation on time will receive a $20 District Gift Certificate. You can use this reward toward club supplies, educational materials, or future incentives to keep your momentum going.
📋 Rules for Participation
To ensure your club qualifies for the reward, please make sure your leadership team checks off the following requirements:
- Host the Event: Your Open House must take place during the official challenge window (May 1 – June 20).
- Document Your Growth: Submit your official event flyer, as well as your membership rosters from before and after the Open House event. This helps us track your club’s exciting growth!
- Meet the Deadline: Ensure that all required documentation is received by District leadership no later than June 25, 2026.

- Promote Early and Often: Use social media, community bulletin boards, and personal invitations to spread the word. (Pro-tip: Use the materials provided by Toastmasters International or create your own catchy design!)
- Keep it Engaging: Roll out the red carpet for your guests. Feature a dynamic Table Topics session that encourages guest participation without putting anyone too far out of their comfort zone.
- Have a Clear Call to Action: Don’t let your guests leave without a clear explanation of how to join, what the fees are, and who to contact to submit their application.
