Kristine Vey, Division Advisor Office Hours

DEC is the District Executive Committee and these office hours are for Division and Area Directors.   Kathy and Kristine are available to just chat or to help you work through questions you may have about your role, specific duties, or issues you have encountered with a team member or club. While Kathy focuses on Division Directors and Kristine on Area Directors, both can assist you as needed.

Kristine Vey serves as an advisor to the District Executive Committee (DEC).  She has served the District as an Area Director and a Division Director.  Outside of Toastmasters, she has been a Project Manager for more than 20 years and lives in Charlottesville.  She is currently a credentialed trainer and is looking forward to working with the Area and Division Directors to help them do the best job they can as we restart in person meetings!

SPBC Toastmasters is hosting an Open House Event, “Growing in a New Season.”  On September 29, 2021, at 6:00pm to 7:30pm.  The club is proud to have Toastmasters International Speech Contest Semi-Finalist, Brenita Wallace-Sullivan.  The distinguished toastmaster will share with us the tools needed to continue to grow in a new and uncertain environment.  As Toastmasters we all will and need to grow in this new season.

Expressions is hosting an Open House at 1pm on Sept 30 and is promoting through email and Intranet to all Genworth employees and contractors. 2 seasoned Toastmasters are giving “My Why” speeches and we will have $20 gift card drawings for attendees. We meet through TEAMS

Kathy serves as the District 66 Education Chairperson and oversees the District 66 Learning Institute and its subcommittees; which includes developing the training schedule; identifying, training, and coaching instructors; the training video library as well as the SME library; and designing and building curricula. Kathy has served as an Education Chairperson at the Division level for many years, and has been an adult educator for over 35 years to include developing training programs and curricula for federal government agencies such as the Secret Service and FBI, the Department of Defense, and many commercial enterprises.
