Back to Basics!

Attention all Club Officers! Are you eager to elevate your leadership abilities to new heights? Our Summer Leadership Institute is an absolute must attend, tailored to invigorate, and inspire you to become the best leader possible! With guided peer discussions and interactive workshops, you’ll gain the knowledge and tools necessary to lead your club with confidence and success. So, mark your calendars and get ready to unlock your full leadership potential. We can’t wait to see what you’ll accomplish!

When: Saturday, July 15, 2023, 9:30 am to 2:30 pm

Where: VCU Engineering West Hall, 601 West Main Street, Richmond, VA 23284

Parking: Free meter parking is available on Main and adjacent/side streets near West Hall. There is a parking deck (pay-to-park) available across from the Altria Theater.

Lunch: Lunch is available through purchase. Selections must be made and paid for by July 12, 2023.

The Club Officer Training Experience has two parts using our Flipped Learning Environment. Part 1 is a short 20-to-30-minute video that you watch before attending SLI or COT training which will provide you with the “who, what, why, and when” of the required training. Part 2 is a guided peer discussion offered at SLI and COT about an expanded “how.” Instead of a class, a trainer will guide you through discussions regarding specific topics.

Pre-Registration is required. Doors open at 9:00 AM for check-in. We will be in person at VCU Engineering West Hall. Those who would like to participate online for the plenary sessions (hybrid) must register here:
