Win Them Back—and Keep Them: Retention Strategies for Ending the Year Strong
Membership is the gatekeeper to club success, yet many clubs focus more on recruiting new members than re-engaging the ones they already have. In this interactive Zoom workshop, Diane Windingland, DTM, shares practical, proven strategies for retaining current members and welcoming former members back—without pressure or guilt. As District 66 approaches the end of its final year, this session will help club leaders strengthen engagement, build momentum, and finish strong.
In this session, participants will:
- Identify common (and often overlooked) reasons members disengage or leave
- Learn simple, human ways to reach out and re-engage members with empathy
- Explore practical strategies to increase ongoing engagement and belonging
- Gain ideas for welcoming former members back, including those hesitant about Pathways
- Leave with at least one actionable step they can implement immediately in their club
